Welcome to the festival of cultures |
|
Festival of Cultures is one of the longest standing community events in Palmerston North. This year it is promising to be bigger and better than previous years it is our City’s chance to celebrate art, culture, lifestyle and explore their connections to each other and New Zealand. The World Food, Craft and Music FairThe World Food, Craft and Music Fair on Saturday 27 March. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the square, starring the Pacific Curls and Sam Manzanza. Here you can enjoy all day local and national music and entertainment and cultural foods, crafts and culture. Pacific CurlsPacific Curls never set out to be a trio. Four years ago when they found themselves in an Auckland studio, recording a Celtic/Maori/Pacific fusion album with two others, they had little idea that after two European tours, untold Australian, several New Zealand and a knock-out Canadian Festival run, they would be the last three standing!? Community Lantern ParadeThe whole community is invited to join in and celebrate the opening of Festival of Cultures 2010 with an inaugural Community Lantern Parade. Gather your family and friends and join this magical and colourful event to celebrate the diversity of Culture within our community and the start of the 20th Festival of Cultures in our City.
